Does anyone have thoughts on these two places?

The Dorchester on Forest Park: Dorchester Apartments, St. Louis *
Apartments For Rent In St. Louis, MO

Looking for an upscale apartment/townhouse for the first 6-12 months before I buy a house.

Are there walkable restaurants, markets, etc near-by?

The Dorchester is right across from Forest Park and within 3 blocks to De Mun where their are some nice restaurants, Jimmy's on the Park; a wine bar; a coffee shop and other small businesses. It is about 5 blocks to Schnucks, the local grocery store. It is also walking distance to Washington University's main campus which has an excellent art and theatre department. Hope this helps.

I was always curious about the Dorchester myself. I saw a few mixed reviews on it online. Other then that, I initially thought about trying that place out a long time ago, but decided against it. If you get a higher level place that faces Forest Park then I bet you get some incredible views. What a great way to drink your cup of coffee in the morning! Too cold during the winter of course. Don't have any thoughts on the other place, but it seems nice from what I can tell. Both places are in pretty safe areas of town and should be pretty close to a lot of good stuff.
