I had to post this for all the MO people out there.
This is VERY IMPORTANT.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In November, Missouri will have an opportunity to vote and possibly make the lives of breeding dogs a little better. At least it is a first step.
There will be an investigation report on Fox 2 on July 13 after the All star game. Trust me the investigation report will be worth watching...yeah, I know it will be late but you’ll learn something so try to watch if you can. This report will show you a breeding facility that has 1000 dogs.......1000 dogs living in filth, wire cages with the floor wire that causes sores on their feet and feces stacked under their cages.
Please watch this report on July 13....and vote to stop this type of breeding.
Attached here is the Dept of Ag report.....you can read the problems Ag found at this facility. I imagine you can smell the place before you see it....
Thanks and think of the dogs that never walk on grass
I agree something must be done. In college I worked for an animal shelter that was constantly saving dogs from puppy mills. Most were filthy, sick and had never been touched. I have friends that adopted one of these dogs and they finally got to pet him after two years of TLC! Missouri is the worst offender for these types of facilites.
You are EXACTLY right.
Something has to be done.
There has to be people out there that care about this topic.
Yes, before someone asks... I posted this to the PET/dog thread on CD. The more people in MO see this, hopefully things can be changed.
**waves at sillypups**
i am a volunteer transporter for dogs moving from shelter to rescue or foster or forever home and BY FAR, the mill survivors are the most heartbreaking dogs I see.....
i had a French Bulldog girl that had NO IDEA what to do when I lifted her out of the car and put her on the grass for a potty break.... she just stood there and trembled.....
had 3 dachshunds (one of which was blind) that were SO terrified, they were all but shut down..... one of the girls spent the entire trip trying to wedge herself between the crate and the seat.... i guess trying to hide....
i could go on, but you get the picture.....
puppy mills are evil and horrific and must be eliminated........
Marksman84 and his crazy Irish Setter Ambush will vote to stop this stupidity as well. Not a fan of animal cruelty. People that abuse animals should be thrown in the pokey.
and this is the perfect example of WHY this bill is SO important:
Alleged Puppy Mill Has Store in St. Peters - KTVI (http://www.fox2now.com/news/ktvi-fox-files-puppy-mill-mexico-071310,0,3789775.story - broken link)
if these people had any idea that their facilities were humane and proper, they would not have had a problem letting the camera in...... they KNOW what they are doing is wrong and continue to torture these poor innocent dogs......
pretty nice car they are driving around in too.....
