I'm trying to accumulate a list from local residents of different cities of their top 5 favorite high rises. I'd love for you to list them. Please include at least the address or name and a photo if available (unless someone has already posted by the time you put your vote in)

Thanks

Lewis & Clark Tower (aka 'Top of the Towers')
Lewis & Clark Blvd & Chambers Rd, Moline Acres, MO

It may have seen better days and looking a bit worse for wear, but to me it symbolizes St. Louis County's mid century optimism and forward thinking.

Continental Life Building
Olive & Grand, St. Louis, MO

Formerly St. Louis's premier business address, the Continental Life building is a gorgeous example of Art Deco with just a splash of Art Nouveau.

Chase Park Plaza
212 North Kingshighway, St. Louis, MO

This building is just gorgeous. It could be anywhere from Hollywood to New York City- it's got the glamour and opulence we've come to expect from either... but no, we're fortunate enough to have it right here in St. Louis!

Civil Courts Building
Market & North Tucker, St. Louis, MO

I can't imagine the St. Louis skyline (looking east) without this building. Although it obstructs the view of the arch, it's such a glamorous building that I think it enhances the skyline as opposed to detracting from it.

Millennium Hotel Tower I
200 S. 4th St, St. Louis, MO

Can you tell I enjoy 'round' buildings? Tower I of the Millennium was constructed in 1968 just as the Mid Century Modern movement was fading. Obviously it's received some facelifts over the years and is now a bit of a mish mash of design aesthetics, but it still makes my list! I'm yet to try out the revolving restaurant up the top though- I really need to do that someday!

My wedding reception was at the Sheraton Love the building, my family loved the outdoor balcony space on the top floor.

I'd put the Wainwright Building (709 Chestnut) on this list--if you consider it a highrise. It's more...midrise in my opinion I find the best architecture in STL to be smaller buildings.
