Looking at north St. Louis county as a possible move for me but will need to work for a living, what agencies, with websites, are in the area? Any help is appreciated.

I don't know how many responses you'll get, I'd check Google. There is good news though, most of the population has to work for a living! So, as long as you've got some skills you should be able to find work utilizing some of them. Just don't be picky, and that "not desirable" job may turn into something more enjoyable with a little perseverance and dedication! Good luck!

When we moved back to St. Louis in December, DH just perused websites such as CareerBuilder and Indeed and secured a job within 2 weeks. I'm honestly not too familiar with temping / employment agencies in the area, but providing you've got a good CV, experiences and references, I doubt you'll have too much trouble finding a job

Remember, a 'job is a job' to begin with- so just look for something that will pay the bills for now and while you've got an income, you can keep applying for other jobs which are more in line with your 'dream' job.

Good luck!

I've been trying to find employment in the sciences for 10 months now. There are lots of jobs out there, just hard to get a foot in the door or find something that the pay is equivalent to your level of experience. Salaries aren't what they were 5-10+ years ago.

I've worked with a few recruiting/staffing agencies - but most are specializing in technical fields. What kinds of jobs are you looking for? Do you have a preference for public or private jobs?

I've been a machinist for 34 years, have an A.A.S in Data Processing and CNC programming
experience, mostly Fanuc controllers. I would be looking for private but non Union.
