Hey! cliche moving to Saint Louis thread. However, we've locked down a place to live in Soulard, but we're big fans of supporting the local economy. We found a couple of businesses the weekend we came up and got everything situated.

That said, we want to continue learning about all the best places Saint Louis has to offer. Is there a specific website or blog that will help us continue to find the new and best restaurants/businesses in Saint Louis? We hit up "Range" downtown, and then had brunch a fun cafe in Benton Park, benton park cafe.

We're excited about moving from Oklahoma City to Saint Louis. We'll miss our Thunder, but should still be a really fun time.

The one thing I miss about living closer to St Louis is the Soulard Market, it is incredible.
The best way to get to know St Louis is to go into St Louis. Take the metro and get off at the stops and explore.
LaCledes Landing is good for night life, the stadium obviously is good for Cardinal baseball, the blues are there as well and the football team if you like football.
The Arch is fun, the botanical gardens are fabulous as well as the zoo and the museums. The med fair is wonderful as well, the Fox is an experience and the Muni is hot but a nice evening out.

Hah, soulard market, we're actually living across the street, I believe from it. We plan to frequent it.

First, take a look at the St. Louis Magazine and Riverfront Times (RFT) websites and look for their lists of local favorites. Every year the RFT does a "Best of St. Louis" issue and StL Mag has various lists throughout the year. I imagine that much of that content is online. Also, if you look for @stlbites on twitter, he has lists of the twitter accounts of tons of cooks, restaurants, grocery stores, and markets in town. Reading those feeds should get you up to speed.

I forgot:

St. Louis has two free publications dedicated to local food and drink. They are called Sauce and Feast. Their websites should be of help, too.

Fantastic. I did find those, and those are going to be very helpful.
