What are some things you all would like to see developed or planned for St. Louis in the next 10 years. So much is happening to be excited for, like the Arch grounds renovation, but what else you you wanna see? I'd be all for...

A Riverfront aquarium
A Downtown Streetcar line
St. Louis MLS team!

What would you add?

Grant's Trail extension! This would make marathon training or cycling so much more interesting in the southern corridor of the city/county:

The street car is essential for us to remain viable as a city. A downtown system as well as one along Grand, Kingshighway and Lindell.

A regional wide regeneration plan including a city county merger. I like the idea of having 9 boroughs. Having downtown be marketed as the hub of commerce and technology for the area.

Would love for us to be on our way to becoming a metro of 4 to 5 million residents. Over 5 million would be too big.

I agree with your comments on the street car. I saw what it did in Kansas City in regards to development along the line, well before it was even completed.

Isn't there a plan to cover / bury I-70 near the Arch to make walking from downtown to the park easier?

They have already done that with the CityArchRiver project. Its actually pretty neat, although they aren't complete yet.

I need to add retail Downtown. Nordstrom Rack and a City Target or at least a Target Express.

And yes, most other central cities are still declining in population, including Chicago, central KC, and central Indy.

Oh, and nice username.

More than anything, I want the full CityArchRiver project to be 100% completed all the way along the planned riverfront. That coupled with downtown street car could help bring our downtown more in line with Indy, Nashville, and KC.

All I heard during the debate against a new riverfront stadium was "there are already plans to develop that land". I want to see it.
