Southern Missouri does, but I have never seen one close to as far North as St Louis.

I've never seen them in StL. I have only seen one in Missouri, near Shoal Creek in Joplin. Looked harmless and it quickly scurried into the underbrush.

I've never seen one. IF they are around here, you'd have to be out on a hike in a wooded area to see one I imagine. I hike a lot and never have.

There might be a few in the Ozarks but I never saw one in 65 years.

Honestly, tarantula's be least of your concerns on day-by-day basis in StL.
As others stated, brown recluse and black widows are MUCH more prevalent and unhealthy.

I have seen several in the Ozarks but scorpions are, to me, a bigger worry because they react faster and their sting is deadly. But, no, I've never seen one this far north. Could be out in the woods. Like black bears - let them alone and they'll let you alone. You might try googling Missouri Conservationist and ask your question there. You'll probably get a good article about them.
