Hi everyone, I'm a native of St. Louis and currently living in south Florida. I have a very serious disease (PVD) that has just been diagnosed by doctors here after me complaining about my symptoms for 2 years. I retired from the fed. government and my income is not enough to support me but I do have good health insurance. I had a wonderful doctor there for many years. Bernard Garfinkle, who passed away a few years ago. My question(s) are:
1. Who would you recommend for a good doctor?
2. Jobs? I know government experience is not valued there, but I have enough income to subsist on something lower - I can work in a grocery store (here they only hire foreigners for those things). I have a B.A. from Webster and have 21 years of experience in the communications field but I really am not healthy enough for the stress of PR. My computer skills are not that great. You wouldn't know it by this post, but I can write like an angel. Any ideas?

Thanks so much. I miss my hometown.

Since 20 people have read my thread and no one has responded must I conclude no one has a decent family doctor? Boy, if that's true things have changed a lot in the medical field in the last 20 years. That's possible I'm sure.

I would call the hospital near the area you are interested in, and tell them your health problems, and ask them to recommend a physician who specializes in your illness.

Just for the record, 20 real people probably hadn't viewed this -- a lot of bots troll the forums looking for e-mail addresses and such to spam.
