Are there any bakeries in St. Louis that do a lot of fondant work like what you would see on Cake Boss, Ace of Cakes, or Challenge? We are getting married in August and love fondant work but a lot of the bakeries we have found do primarily icing. Thanks!

This lady's name has been circulating around West County like nuts! Apparently her custom work is not only gorgeous but delicious. I have several friends who use her, and I have been looking for a good excuse! See her site for her work...

Also, Pastries of Denmark has beautiful cakes and does fondant work. Traditional, nothing crazy and colorful, but delicious and gorgeous: http://www.pastriesofdenmark.com/

I have never eaten anything there that wasn't outstanding.

I've had cakes done by Yolanda Santiago. Let me find her number and I'll post it. She lives in South City. Her cakes are amazing!

Check out Patty-Cakes in Highland, Illinois - about 35 minutes or so from downtown St. Louis. The owner, Pat, and her team took 1st place on TLC's Ultimate Cake Off! Wow! Haven't had her cakes, but if she's winning accolades like that, they can only be awesome! Good luck and congratulations! Here is the store link: Patty-Cakes Highland, IL and here is her 2009 Weddings Gallery: Cake Gallery - 2009 (http://www.pat-t-cakes.com/Gallery-2009/Gallery-2009.htm - broken link).
