Pacific, Missouri offers low rent options for you. Osage West Apartments has rent for 439 a month but you must fit an income limitation to qualify. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
I found out this week I got a full-time job offer at a local college...no more three jobs + grad school.
Now my budget is increased and I'm looking around the Wash U/CWE area...(studio/small 1BR) seems a lot of young, academic grad student types live there...and I'll be doing a reverse commute to a more suburban area for work, which I don't mind.
