I would like to start my daughter on omega 3. I have bought her about 3 different kinds of chewables and she says they are nasty. Does anyone know of an omega 3 pill or chewables that are not bad tasting? She can actually swallow small pills. The ones I take are huge.

I take this for myself. Not sure how it tastes though, but the adult product is good. I would like to start my kids on it also. Jeannie

You could add flax seed to her cereal. Walnuts are another good source, as are soybeans, kidney beans and navy beans. Olive oil is another good source.

Fish, particularly salmon, is also a good source.

Wink Omega 3 for Kids

Hi, I just joined and read your post. I have been using Omega-3 with my four girls for about 6 months. I too went through the delimma of awful tasting chewables before we came upon softgel chewables by Nordic Naturals. Children can swallow them hole, because they are a softgel they go down easily or they can chew them. They come in two sizes, mini softgels (small for little ones) or junior softgels. My 4 year old takes the mini gels and she can swallow them with no problem. My other 3 daughters ages8, 10, and 12 take the junior. My oldest daughter even dared to chew one just to sample the taste and she said it had a lemon taste to it. Hmmmm.....Hope this helps, good luck with your search.

Smiles,
K D Moyer

Nordic Naturals is a great recommendation. It's the only brand my kids will take. My oldest started on the chewables and now takes my regular ones you swallow.

Nordic Naturals is a wonderful product. This is the only brand my husband recommends as he is in the health care field. My children take it and I have heard no complaints.

You could try coreomega, it's an orange cream that tastes like an orange popsicle.
