I have a good friend who has done extensive research with the potassium issue and fatigue. She battles CFS/ME for many years and potassium is her major helper.

Know that the RDA for potassium is like 4500mg.

My potassium levels come in at the low end of labs, so I supplement and also have a couple drinks high in potassium. Low Sodium V8 juice and Zero Vitamin Water Revive...both these are high in potassium.. Yesterday I had a major slump and drank a half glass of Revive and talk about a WAKE UP...the potassium in this drink.... Revive has no sugar and high potassium and other ingredients. Supermarkets sell both.

Hi Jamin
I swear by CoQ10 and I think that is the singles most underrated product out there together with magnesium. I take it every morning - never skip it. I swear by the boost for energy and the immune system. Plus researchers are constantly figuring out how many ailments are due to muscles in your body lacking coenzyme q10 to serve its normal function.
I had never heard about potassium like that, even though it is a stable in my vitamin cabinet - and yes, I truly do have an extensive collection of vitamins, herbs and minerals - enough to fill up a whole cabinet.
Have you tried CoQ10 yet?
Midge

Hi, I've been taking COQ10 for years, take 100mg every late morning. How much do you take? I think I did take 200mg at one point, but went to 100mg...Maybe I need higher dose.

But this potassium issue is to be checked. If one gets potassium levels checked and we can be in range but the low range and doc won't even mention it. My fatigue is from chronic OA pain. And hip job mess. I take DRibose too a couple times a day for a lift. And aging fatigue....

I just upped my COQ10 to 200mg every other day, 100mg on the other day. Also still when I feel I need a lift I drink some Revive and get a potassium lift.

Talking to friends last night, they were not aware of the RDA on potassium. It's 4500mg-4700mg depending where you read it. Does everyone believe they get the RDA from foods, I do NOT. Low potassium can cause low energy for one thing. I take extra potassium glucconate daily.

RDA for sodium is 2300mg daily. Depends who publishes that too.

Ah, here is the potassium and energy post. I was feeling a low low energy and just realized I'm not eating avacodos like I usually do. So I just took 500mg of potassium and got a nice lift. Missed taking my COQ10 today too. ummmm
