There are MANY probiotics that aren't grown on dairy. Try your local health food store. You might also consider Triphala... it is gentle and non-habit forming unlike laxatives such as senna and cascara sagrada. Even rhubarb can sometimes be too harsh. Another alternative would be aloe vera juice especially the "whole leaf" variety.

That sorta sounds like exploiting living organisms. I wouldn't normally consider such a thing but vegans already think exploiting bees by taking some of their honey is out of bounds. But they are enslaving bacteria?
