Im trying to do my own research but most of the reviews i'm finding look like they are written by people affiliated with the manufactures or paid reviews. I take a medication that causes memory loss and I desperately need something that works, im only 40. I tried Cogitiva and it seems like it works but not for very long or maybe Im imagining it. I want to hear from real people. Thanks!
Recently, many of the claims have been disproved. What does your prescribing MD have to say about it? Maybe you don't need a "memory/cognitive" supplement per se, but an improvement in your overall nutrition.

I havent told him. I dont want to be taken off of it. It's a benzo and I have a serious anxiety disorder that borderline panic sometimes. Tried literally dozens of different drugs and ativan is the only one that works. I cant imagine what life would be like with out it. Along with the anxiety come rapid racing thoughts. It complete misery.

I wasn't suggesting you be taken off anything. I was suggesting that there may be other ways to support cognitive function/memory without adding "supplements" that haven't been proven to do anything. There could be dietary-nutritional tweaks or even mental exercise you could try that do as much.
You need to go back to your doctor and find an alternative. If it's a statin, there are less potent statins that don't have the strong reputation for side effects. Using something else to cover up the side effect may prove damaging to your mind in the long run.
Citi-choline and rhodiola Rosea have been great for me. Taken in the morning since they can give you a bit of energy. I noticed a pretty big difference in the quickness of my thinking process within about 3 weeks after starting both. Others did also. Actually, it's probably the first time from the different supplements that I do take that there was a noticeable difference that I could identify.
(both can be googled for information on benefits and studies)
Exercise and brain workouts are probably the best strategies. Vitamin E and Ginkgo Biloba may be worth trying as supplements, but I don't use them so can't vouch for these.

How did you know what dosage to take of these? Did you just experiment with them?
Thanks
