Syracuse, NY - should we leave Clifton Park, NY? (Manlius: houses, neighborhoods)

A new job oppty might bring us to the Syracuse area. Any information would be appreciated.

Looking for information on nice neighborhoods (houses 175K-225K) with great schools for a 2nd (elementary) and 6th grader (middle school).

Clifton Park, NY has a great school system with a very ACTIVE (& young famiies) Neighborhoods.

Just a question... why do you specify that $175K/225K is a nice neighborhood, and assume that anything less wouldn't be nice? You can get very nice houses in the Syracuse suburbs with top rated schools that are a lot cheaper.

That is why I am asking what areas - CP is 250K and higher at this point. Lower is better / Any areas with good schools I will take suggestions.

While most Syracuse suburbs have fine schools, the Fayetteville/Manlius district is among the best in the state. You may want to reference the Great Schools website for more info.
