Starting law school in the fall, I have a family, need 3 bedrooms, 1500 sq ft or more. Children will attend private school, so school districts not a consideration. Looking to be within 15 minutes of SU. We have two cats. I prefer single level homes, no flats, nor apartments, nor duplexes.
What price range is reasonable for a rental with the above specifications?
I suppose it is not reasonable to purchase a home without an income? even with 25% down?
Any suggestions where I should start looking online? Is there a particular time when houses become more available? I would need housing for at least 3 years. Buying vs. Renting ideas?

I don't think there is a bank out there that will finance a home for someone without income. Although if you have kids going to private school, I will assume there is income from somewhere.

We have help from grandparents for the children's school. We have a lot of equity from the sale of our home, just not enough to purchase outright.
That house would be fine, except it sits on a major road. We prefer a subdivision style neighborhood, since my daughter likes to ride her bike everyday. Thanks for the idea.
Also we are set on which private school to attend.
