... taken from the dash. These aren't good pictures of Pompey... not the really scenic and pretty part... I can get better another time- but I just came across these from late May:
LOL! It really is "country as heck." Not too bad though- I sure won't be posting pics of DeRuyter anytime soon... that's more southeast. This part of Pompey is really cozy feeling in the fullness of summer- lush and green and full foliage and crops and the most relaxing wind. Seeing the farms dotting the countryside is comforting to me, having spent the second half of my childhood surrounded by it.
Where the pictures were taken are in the Fabius-Pompey school district and just on the other side of the Oran-Delphi valley would start the Cazenovia school district. When we were house-hunting this past spring, there were some interesting combinations... one house was in the Town of Pompey with a Manlius mailing address (strange since the Town of Pompey government offices were almost across the street and the Manlius town line was at least 5 miles away) but in the Cazenovia school district.
Anyone know how to restore broken-link pics so we can see them now?
I click on any of those links from 6 1/2 yrs ago, and they're all broken links nowadays.
What I've found out is that it depends on how/where the pictures were uploaded. I believe they would have to be resubmitted. Some of the pictures I've posted in this section are broken links now and I think I know why.
I will say that it is best to upload to a computer, then post them that way.

I agree. I keep a picasaweb ( Google ) album for that very reason. There is another user on here ( exitchacan ) who has a lot of NY photos I've seen on Flickr:
