For Ranch homes, you pretty much have to go to the suburbs or maybe parts of the outer city neighborhoods. You have an area like the Buckley Road Corridor in the Liverpool area(towns of Salina and Clay) that have quite a few of different sizes.
What you will notice though is that there are quite a few split level homes in the suburbs and in some outer city areas. Same with Cape Cods in some of the older suburbs.
The neighborhood that might be called Westerlea, in Camillus near West Genesee school, always seemed "atomic" to me. Perhaps not high-style, but midcentury for sure.
