Thanks ckhthankgod. I have searched USAjobs but to no avail. It appears that all the federal positions in the Syracuse area are medical. I am an HR professional, do you know of any other sites?

Thanks for all the sites. I currently work for the federal government and would like to stay with them. The pay is great, benefits are awesome, and I have job security (not sure that I would have that with the private industry).

I worked for a year at the VA in Syracuse. They have several H.R. and IT positions as well as all the hospital type support positions. You might want to actually do a walk in and fill out their paper work. Having worked there I think that you would have a better chance that way. HR is on the first floor just waling in the side door by the ER and make a right. Can't miss it.
