SubCat Music Studios of Skaneateles will relocate to an underutilized building adjacent to the Red House Arts Center on South West Street. The $3.1 million project on the periphery of Armory Square will substantially renovate a century old, three story building into a cafe, a residence for traveling artists, and a state-of-the art recording studio.
The location of the proposed project serves as a crucial linkage between the vibrant Armory Square district and the fledgling Near West Side. The fact that a successful recording studio with an established location is willing to take the plunge and relocate to a transitional city neighborhood is a sign of confidence in Syracuse's viability as an arts and cultural destination. This is excellent news.
Sorry RR, I must have been daydreaming, I did not see your post regarding the recording studio until after I posted my new thread. I would have posted my information under your thread. I am very excited by the recent news coming out of Armory Square. I especially like projects that collaborate with other projects like this studio project and the Red House. I see that the Edge re-openning after making way Urban Outfitters. Thanks again.

I didn't know they did the "VPA Student Center" at the Warehouse. Cool, as I work there and didn't know who came up with the look.
