I'm not sure.

But it seems we are being double Billed.

Let me explain if I can.

Let National Grid Keep The $20.00 a month Fee to use the Grid.
Drop all Delivery Fees.
And Allow us to buy from any Electrical Supplier connected to the Grid
Example: Solvay Electric.
The poles and wire are all Paid for.
Wires don't ware out as current passes through them.
OK if the $20.00 a month fee won't cover the rent of the wires and poles, then make it $30.00 a month.
The company that supplies the current provides the pressure to get the current to your house, Not National Grid.
The Company that generates the current Has all the expenses, Equipment, Staff, and even some
Times energy, unless it’s water, or wind Generated
All we are doing is using National Grids wires to get the current here to our home.
Kind of like riding a bus. We don’t pay to get on the bus and then pay for the miles we have traveled.
Think it does not cost to stop and start a bus. And a bus has a driver, and uses fuel. And require fixing. National Grid doesn't handle it, Touch it, Or even Move it.
Does your water Company Charge you for Delivery of the Water you drink?
Or do they just charge you for the water you use.
Water flows through Pipes the same as Current flows through Wires.
Only wires don't spring leaks like Pipes do.
Dish Net work doesn't charge you a delivery Fee for the shows you watch do they.
And a service fees so you can watch a show if you want to? do they.

Even Time Warner only charge a fee so you can watch a show if you want to.
Time Warner doesn't charge a deliver fee for the shows you watch or the Data You receive or send.
Trust me they could count the bytes of data and charge you so much per mega byte of Data sent or received.
Hmmmmmmmmmm What a Con Game. Nothing But A Con Game.
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/3/sto...off#signatures
The only thing National Grid has to do is maintain the wire and poles, And I see their crews out polishing them every day don't you.
How much maintenance do you spend on the wires in your home. Do they have to be replaced ever few years.
Do you have an annual inspection of all the wires in your home, I don't.
So why aren't we paying a flat rate to use their wires. Why are we charged for what passed through the wires.
Something to think about.

The wires don't go dead like Batteries.
Happy New Year.

Well I’ve given a lot of thought to the R&R on the Syracuse Craigslist the last couple of days Regarding electrical circuits and how they work.
And here is my conclusion as to what and why things have gone this way.
1. Fact: National Grid has the Highest rates and Fees of any Electrical Provider In the continental United States of America.
http://www.neo.ne.gov/statshtml/115.htm
2. Facts: Rates and Fees range from as low as 1.7 cents a killowatt hour
And $2.00 a month to do business with Solvay Electric for Large Industrial customers
Average rate per kWh: Solvay Electric

Residential - 3.1 cents

Commercial - 2.7 cents
Small Industrial - 1.9 cents
Large Industrial - 1.7 cents
( as Copied form: http://www.nypa.gov/partners/solvay.htm)
National Grid :
Large industrial customer (service class 3A)
Monthly usage: 2.3 million kilowatt-hours
Delivery charge: increases from $40,883 to $50,599
Supply charge: increases from $121,600 to $143,770
Total bill: increases from $162,483 to $194,369 (19.6 percent)
So Lets Compare prices
National Grid 2.3 Million Kilowatt-hours $194,369.00 for a month
( as Copied from the Past Standard of Syracuse:http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.s...es_take_e.html)
Solvay Electric 2.3 Million Kilowatt-hours $39,102.00
Solvay’s Total charge is just slightly more than National Grid Increase.
National Grids bill is 4.97 times larger than Solvay Electric’s charges.
You do not think that is outrageous Take a $500.00 a month Mortgage
Or rent payment and at the rates National Grid has been allowed you
Would be paying $2,500.00 a month.
Gasoline would cost you $13.36 a gallon.
A Gallon of milk even at what Wal-Mart charges would be if sold
By National Grid would be $8.31 a Gallon, for Milk.
Back to the Reasons for “Mr. Know It All” Post.
http://syracuse.craigslist.org/rnr/1531721784.html
This post was an attempt to confuse you about the issues.
Any good con artist will do this so they can successfully run the
con.
I’m not ask you for any thing, I don’t want you to send me money
Or I am not tell you who to buy from all I am saying is that in America
We the consumers fair out best in a Competitive Marketplace.

“Mr. Know it all”, has done nothing but defend National Grid’s
Rates and fees.
“Mr. Know it All”, has done nothing but ridicule and try to embarrass
Any one that might try to educate you as to the “Bill of Goods”, that National Grid is Selling you.
In my Opinion when there is a 500% difference between the price
A small company sells a Kilowatt-hours for and what National Grid
Has been allowed to sell it for there is some collusion going on
And the rate payer are the victims
Our PSC is supposed to see to it that there are no victims the suppliers
Or the consumers.
We for years did not know what Bernie Madoff was up to until the crash
Are we going to wait for a crash to see what the PSC and National Grid
Have been up to.
If every thing is as clean and just as “Mr. Know it all”, implies an audit
By the Federal Government would be welcomed to set us all straight.
And explain how thing got this lop sided, And justify once in for all
Why there is a 500% difference in rates.
If you think there might be something wrong Please sign the petition
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/3/sto...livery-rip0off
Let our elected official know we are not sure that our PSC has
Preformed there job in our best interest.
Well For Now Happy New Year.

what mr "know it all" was trying to get at is you have misconceptions about how electricity works, and how a basic meter operation.. I believe he is on your side but after going to CL and seeing the blatant overposting on your part with numerous outrageous statements and exaggerations, it makes it tough to understand or be on the bandwagon of your cause.. he is right though about the electricity...

you cannot "send " electrons back, you only get billed for what you use, the rest are still in the grid.
you do not read anyone elses feedback, at all, thinking only you are the only one right, and you are not. Some of the costs sure are too much we all agree on that, but someplace there is a cost for general upkeep and repair of the system and like he said "future upgrades" makes sense.

Not to change the subject, but going over the forums and doing a bit of recon myself... about Truegov..
why LIE about your posts about Fulton assessments? its all here! if you did not live in Fulton, why would you care about the "unfair" assessments? you have to many identities, (which all speak the same), trying to make it legit.. I am calling BS on all your replies.

Well from what i have read National Grid made a profit of $4 billion dollars last year on National Grid's investment of 3 billion Dollars 10 years ago.

This doesn't count all the profits they have made for the past 10 years.

Has National Grid ever posted a loss.

or a break even.

Don't think so.

Put $300.00 in the bank will the bank give you back $400.00 next year and for every year for the rest of your life with an annual 20% increase. or is it $400.00 plus 20% plus inflation.
looks like that's what National Grid has achieved.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm wonder?

and I'll bet there $3 biliion Dollar investment value just keeps increasing every year too.
