With the big release date of November 1st coming I was wondering if anyone is going to pick one up. I have an IPAD 2 and currently thinking about upgrading.
If you had a 1 I would say it might be time but the 2 isn't really outdated yet. I might wait for one more generation.

I'm wondering... being an owner of the latest MacBook Air do I really need an iPad Air?
I mean, what can it do that my laptop can't? Are tablets just for those who want to carry around a device that weighs 20 oz less than a laptop?
Hard decision to make, since the MacBook Air is already very thin and lightweight. But an iPad with 3G or 4G can be handier and more secure when traveling and away from Wi-Fi hot spots.
I have a MacBook Pro, and prefer it over the iPad because of the larger screen and keyboard. However, my employer has provided us with large capacity iPads to aid with our work. My wife chose a new iPad over a new MacBook Air for Christmas a couple of years ago
