I constantly get error/reload on ew.com and radaronline on my iPad Air 2. It's ALWAYS these sites, over and over again. Any idea why?

Have you kept iOS up to date? That's the first thing I would do.

Also, remove the cluster as follows: Tap the home button two times within two seconds (you will see numerous windows stacked on to of each other), then with your finger swipe each one of them off the screen.

This is something I would do too: delete all the Safari history. Just remember that it will clear all the cache and memory, including website passwords. It means that you you know your passwords beforehand.

I did everything except update iOS. I'll do it overnight and let you know.

Turn off JavaScript. That will reduce the reloading, but will not let content on some sites load. Probably not the solution you want.

On heavy sites like ew, I find it really helps to enable reader view after you load your article. (Tap the horizontal lines that will appear on the right hand side of the URL bar on eligible articles)
