I'm going to be moving to Tallahassee soon and I'm familiar with the area... But not so familiar with the living areas. I've picked a good apartment... Or at least I think, but I'm worried about the neighborhood. Can anyone tell me about Places at Capital Village ?? Is it in a good area?? If you know any affordable apartments that 2 people can live in, that would be great also.

I think at is an OK area. I wouldn't particularly live there though. South side is bad, and the west side is bad. Anything north, north east or east of downtown is good.

I'm considering an apartment on High Road now, called The social. Although I see it's rather close to Frenchtown , I believe it might be far enough to be ok. Looking for something close to FSU. But are there any apartments in the good areas? That'd be a great help too

Default Just the Statistics

Hey

I am moving to Tally as well. I am definitely looking into some safe areas to live. You should check out the Tallahassee Online Police Statistics. Put the street address into their search engine and find out how much crime actually occurs in that area. I checked out the Places at Capitol Village and the crime is high there. Stay away from Lenox Parc Apartments on Virginia Street. A nice apartment complex called Dubinsky Apartments on Jefferson st has low crime.

P.S. I don't know haven't visited yet just some advice.

I will check out Dubinsky, thanks! Does anyone have any opinions on Tanglewood Apartments on Pullen Road? We went and checked it out today and I felt safe in the area. The unit we were shown seems perfect for us. i used spotcvrime.com at first to check out the area but it freaked me out so I took Sheryvone1's advice and went to the office police reports. As far as I see there have been a few burglaries a few blocks down but nothing ever at the apartments themselves.
