Tampa/Petersburg - not bad for murder stats...but high assault/robbery? (St. Petersburg: violent crime)

I'm wondering what accounts for that? These are stats for across the nation.


St. Petersburg, FL:

Crime stats can be a useful tool but don't take into account geography so much. As with most urban areas an overwhelming percentage of violent crime is committed within specific areas and are not widespread occurrences. It's highly unlikely you'll ever find a need to go into these areas on a daily basis.

I agree with Kyle. There are some areas you have no need to go at all. If you go to the St Pete Museum of Art and stay around there, you won't see any of this .
