Apartment Hunting in Brandon (cheap apartment, live, mall)

Hello all, I find myself looking for a cheap apartment in Brandon by end of April due to divorce. Now, you might ask why I'm looking now but I know it might take me awhile to find the best place I can afford.

So, I'm looking for a 2bd, 2bath in Brandon for no more than 1k monthly including water/sewer. I would actually like it to be around $900 but will go to 1k max.

I'm posting because I'm looking for info from people who have lived in the area or have direct info about the quality of the complexes.

I just need a cheap place for a year until I can buy. I want something quiet (don't mind top floor) and near the center of Brandon (the mall, library, the parkway, etc).

My big concern is how well is the complex maintained, is the pool well kept, how's the security? Are the managers nice before you sign then jerks after you move in?

I just don't want to end up in a place that takes a week to fix the AC if it goes out.

Try Crosswynds I was going to move in there but got an awesome job offer here in Ohio so had to take it and left florida behind . I m pretty sure you will like crosswynds and it is close to the brandon mall and palm river library . I think you are right down the road from the brandon library .
