We are moving to Tampa with our 2 children ages 3 and 1. We are looking for a family friendly area with good schools and reasonable housing. My husband will be working near the Countryside Mall in Clearwater. I have heard WONDERFUL things about Lutz and Land O Lakes, and the church we liked in in the Lutz area. These seem like really nice areas that are out of town but still have lots of ammenities. He does not mind spending time in the car but would that kind of a commute be a killer? Any thoughts on a great family neighborhood closer to his job?

Safety Harbor, Clearwater/Countryside, Palm Harbor, Oldsmar, Dunedin. All within a 5-15 minute commute to the mall.

Thanks! I'll look into those areas! I have noticed that the housing is very cheap in St Petersburg. Having never been there I am going ot guess there is a reason for it?
