We are in need of swimming lessons immediately and would like to find a place that has an indoor pool, which does not seem to exist in Florida. We've already tried the Y for the kids and they didnt learn how to swim in the first session (8 weeks) and many classes were cancelled due to the weather. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

I don't think there is a single place that will teach your kids how to swim in lesson one. If they have bunch of kids that never spend time in the water, they need to go over some basic swimming items first. If you want your kids swimming after lesson one, you will have to be a teacher.

Tewas,
I'm sorry, I didnt mean "lesson one", they went for 8 weeks and learned the basics but still could not swim so now I am looking for a class that will take them to the next level and have them swimming unassisted this summer.

Oh, well that makes more sense Were other kids swimming after 8 weeks? Try to see if it's all of the kids or just a few, which could mean the problem is elsewhere.

Tampa Bay Turners in St. Petersburg, if you live near there. Excellent indoor pool and training staff. Taught my kids to swim.

Awe man! I wish there was an indoor facility on this side of the Bay! That would be a long drive for me unfortunately I worked at indoor pool and aquatic center in HS in Northern Virginia and am amazed that I cant find one close by!

Fastest way to teach your kids to swim. Throw them into an unheated pool. You'll be shocked how well a kid who "can't swim" can keep their heads above water. Buyer beware - this tactic may require some therapy afterwards to get the child to ever swim again.

The instructors at Seal are absolutely amazing and they do have more than one location.
