It depends. If you've got a draft in the loo window, you MAY have a cold seat. Also depends on the seat itself. Wood would stay warmer than plastic, padded would stay warmer than both. You could always purchase a heated seat when you get here and you will always have a warm seat.

Maybe its because I grew up "in the north" and remember the cold seat. Sure, it may be tongue in cheek, but indeed a valid question overall.

Google "heated toilet seat" and you will be surprised at the availability of various models and various manufacturers. Somebody is buying them.

LOL This is the funniest question about FLA I have heard in a long time and brings back a memory! BUT it can be true if you have a home that doesn't have central heating like the first one I had when we moved here. AND now down memory lane. I vividly recall my 2 year old son screaming in the bathroom for me one evening in winter, and I of course thought something had happened and blood (or a palmetto bug) would be there to greet me. But no... all he wanted was to ask me to PLEASE warm up the toilet seat for him before he got on it! What a mother will do!

I don't want my butt on a cold toilet seat either. I've had the heat on twice this winter and for just a few minutes each time. If the toilet seat ever gets cold or even cool, I will definitely notice.
