This is the daughter of one of our RE persons in the Sarasota forum. It is such an awesome accomplishment for her.

It is truly a buyers market when a 14 year old can buy a house. Maybe that house will help pay for her college... Willow may do better off skipping college, though, being such an entrepreneur. Cool story.

Great story and hopefully the HOA dues are not too high. I wish more 14 year old kids will follow her foot steps instead of hanging around a play yard and doing drugs...

Minors cannot enter into legally binding contracts. I wonder how she actually bought a house.

I think her mother bought it with her. She's a realtor.

Since mom is half owner according to the story she is a co- signer....

To me the moral of the story is the most important thing...keeping 14 yr olds busy with something else than all day on Facebook and hanging out in the streets, time will learn if a condo is such a good investment since many have been sold so cheap it may take decades for the value to come back...

Not too sure I woud be so proud to know my family profited over someone else's loss of home and belongings.

Her mom paid half the money and the daughter paid the other half. The mom will sell her half, giving up on the deed of the home when her daughter turns 18.

Would it be better that the items in these homes just sit there going to waste? It helps other people out by getting these items at a discount. Unfortunately, the homes are going to foreclosure anyway. She is not hurting anyone by selling the items. She is not stealing the items. She gets their okay to take it and sell it. I don't see the moral issue.
