I don't run the heat during the nite. So on them 45 degree and colder nites i flip on the elec blanket. It was a good bit colder when i lived in west Pasco compared to Danashores in Tampa.

No flannel sheets but I definitely wear my winter coat at night when I'm walking the dog--especially when it's windy--that can go right through you.

I saw people wearing Uggs yesterday at the mall.

I bet.

Hell, I've noticed a difference in moving from Riverside Heights to Citrus Park.

In a normal Florida winter, many nights can be very chilly, so those flannel sheets might feel real cozy. I don't think you will need a heavy coat, I have never needed one even on the coldest days. A light jacket is usually all that is needed.

I sure hope I get to experience one of these "normal" Florida winters. They sound marvelous.

If it is 45 in Danashores it would be 40 at my house in west Pasco. These older homes get cold very easy.

I keep an electric mattress pad on my bed at all times. I never did like an electric blanket or flannel sheets. It comes in handy when the nights do cool down, but is used more for when my back gives me fits. Nothing like warmth from underneath to loosen up tight muscles.

I wear my winter coat when it has gone down to 21 degrees and I need to walk my dog. I also wear my winter had and gloves too. I also have flannel sheets that I put on my bed in the winter. This winter was pretty mild, but we can get colder temps like 21 degrees at night. It has been 40 degrees in the day time. I have not used my Uggs, but I see people walking around in them.

I would hang on to those flannel sheets. You'll use them. A medium winter jacket is all you should need. Once you become acclimated to the weather down there you'll be wearing a sweatshirt when it's in the 50's.
