If anyone has lived in/ knows some who has/ had any knowledge of these places

please give me input.

I live on campus at USF St pete... and as you can tell by my very early (I'll be moving sometime around June) searching... I'm not a big fan. Its beautiful... but too strict.

anyways. I have been searching online to get an idea of what apartments willbe like around the area.

my limit is $1000 per month on a 2 bedroom. Bathroom doesnt matter much... but 1.5 or two would always be nice.

at least cats should be allowed.

if you know of anything... please share.

or... my whole point of the post would be to get information abou these three places.

1. Emerald Point apartments. About 10 minutes away. The website sold me immediatly... but when i went to apartmentratings.com i saw it had HORRIBLE reviews. I don't know exactly what to make of them, because I have a feeling that only the people who hated it took the time to comment.
If thats not true... and someone here had a bd experience... please let me know.

2. Times Square Apartments right in downtown. One of the older buildings.
I havent been able to see any reviews on it... and I would like one if possible.

3. Colton IV apartments. Also right downtown, and one of the older buildings.
(both found on rent.com) and I also have no knowledge of this place.

I would go check them out myself... but I feel like I would be wasting peoples time since I'm not planning on moving until June (january is a slim possibility though.)

anyways. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I'd say "NO" on Emerald Point. We have a client office just down the street from there and they told me some interesting stories about that place when I mentioned I was considering it. Don't know about the other places you mentioned, sorry.

Have you checked craigslist? Many of the nicer apartments in St Pete went condo, and there's always a bunch to find on Craigslist.

Funny thing though... theres a bunch of ads for Emerald point there... they are really pushing it.

anyways... thanks for your help.

I don't know where the USF St Pete campus is so this may be too far - have you checked the apartments around 4th & Gandy? Also, search "Vantage Point" on craigslist, they've had some good rates advertised recently and accept pets. They went condo and didn't sell so now they're trying to rent, rent, rent.

I lived in Times Square apartments for a while - it was an old home split into four apartments.

The good: lovely old buildings. Affordable as you can get. Location, location, location. Very quick response from maintenance.

The bad: that you need to get in touch with maintenance a lot. My floors had such termite damage that there were sharp ruts in the wood, and when I moved in they hadn't been filled. I cut my foot! But they filled them right away.

I recommend them.

awesome. Thanks. I actually just drove down that street and spotted it today. Right now there is some major construction going on next door which wasnt appealing... but I'm sure it will be more than cleared by june.

I'm actually more attracted to the other older building (colton IV... it looks similiar but they did a better job of advertising ((on hotpads.com)) and it looks like a better location) but I will keep my eye on those too.

once again... thanks much.

Default Rental Communities

Hi there,

I have been working in this area for about 5 years in property management. I saw some of your "musts" and I can definately help you find a place, if you haven't already.

I have a few questions that you will want to figure out before applying at a place.... Contact me if you want some help....

Devin
