Has anyone been to the Big Cat Rescue around Tampa? Was it really a fun trip and are the animals enriched with toys, etc.? I would love to go because someday they will all be gone and that will be a sorrowful day for me. Any input on BCR? Thanks

It's a GREATexperience to go there. The big cats are all very well taken care and you get to see them almost like in the wild. They have different tours where everything is explained and they even have a special tour for children.

I took my teens there a few years ago. The youngest, then 11 years old was bored. The other two liked it (14 years old). I enjoyed the tour. I think it is expensive, but the money is going for a good cause. They are well taken care for and it is obvious they care about not only the health of the cats, but their mental health as well. It is a walking tour that you stop by each of the cages and the guide talks a little bit about each of the cats.

I too agree...that was one of my first stops to go see when I moved here in April. I really liked the tour..the guides were VERY knowledgeable. The kitties were VERY well cared for and totally enriched. Friend them on facebook if you have one..they post daily pictures Well worth the money, again it goes to care for all of them...
