As in the Pinellas thread, this does not mean the state of Florida has finished reporting, and there are other votes to come in for Hillsborough County. But as of now, with 98% reporting, the county has been called for Obama.

So far, there were more votes for Obama in 2012 than there were for Obama in 2008.

19 million people call Florida: "Home", YET only 4 million bothered to VOTE? Shame on you!

Does that 19 million include kids, b/c I don't think they're allowed to vote until their 18 yrs old. You know, The Constitution and all........

BTW IF, and only IF we had that many kids, then "Florida's" reputation as a "retirement state" is at stake as you can imagine.

I was just wondering if the 4mil are FL born only.

I see it as a bit hypocritical; lots of people moved here, and increased our population, yet they don't even have the decency to vote?!

Educated in Florida schools, I see. Where did I post anything about 15 million?

Its really hard to believe that some people had to wait up to 4 hrs to vote. What kind of backass country requires a voter to wait 4 hrs? I think the people in Afghanistan have faster votiing than that - and they have dirt floors. Absolutely ridiculous.

I didn't say you did, but I doubt it 100% that all that difference from 4mil to 19 was made up of kids of any sort.

Who are these 15 million people who don't exercise their right to vote? illegals? cause it sure isn't 15 million kids.

There was voting early available too. I agree that there should have been more voting centers opened, but it took me 30 minutes around 8am yesterday.

Even having an 6 extra million not voting is ridiculous.

When you move to Tampa (or anywhere else in FL), besides getting your ID/DL switched, you register to vote. It is, again, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY as a citizen of this country! what's so hard about that???

Florida was always ass backwards about facilitating voting, so as a citizen go ahead, and complain to your representatives about it, they all get paid those 6 figures out of the taxpayers(99%)'s money!!!! make them work! Seriously, make them work.

Over 8 million voted in total. Just over 4 million voted for Obama.
