It jumped the break and got worse about 1:30-2 o'clock but they had it under control within a few hours, the copters and planes are still flying over my house though.

Scary stuff! One of my friends just told me she had ashes floating around in her backyard. They almost evacuated because the fire was so close to their house. Controlled burns in that area are scary because there is so much dry brush.

What a dumb time to have a controlled burn. No real rain in months, super dry dewpoints and this is what ya get.

I agree. I wonder what made them do it today of all days?

Beats me. Only gonna get worse over the next 2 months. Just think, no real rain for another 2 months then add the searing sun to the mix in May.

Isnt that the purpose of those controlled burns. To get rid of all that dry brush before lightning season. That wouldn't be the first time that a controlled burn in that area got out of control. Working in Glen Lakes a few years ago there were people hoseing down spots on their lawns out in the back sections during one of those burns. That sure pushes those armidillos into Glen Lakes.
