Some ins. Companies take in consideration your credit score. Some don't but I agree with a different poster they go by other items so what your neighbor will pay for a similar home may not be what you will pay and I would suggest to call different ins. Companies for a quote based on certain facts and it doesn't have to be the exact address or you can have them run a specific home that you like.

PH west of 19, 2300sqft w/ pool. Last year Citizens quoted 1700 and private ins quoted from 2400-3500 that included a good chunk of wind mitigation discount. Not in flood zone and flood ins quoted about 400.

Quick question- Are those annual quotes or bi-annual?
Thanks!

My insurance renewal came in at $2400, was $1900 just last year and $1400 the year before. Every time they said it is to me to the market level. Watch out those initial rates. They will keep increasing every year.

Countryside area
built in '84, gable shingle roof
approx 2300 sq ft with pool
non-flood zone

Ours is up for renewal, but with a private company this time. Our $1958 policy for last year through Citizen's was assumed this spring. The new company's renewal rate is $2118. I'm not going to bother shopping around, the $160 increase just isn't worth the hassle to me this year.

Does any of you guys giving quote have sinkhole activity coverage? If it is just catastrophic sinkhole coverage, the prices are really different. If I were to drop the sinkhole activity coverage (not to be confused with catastrophic sinkhole coverage) my premium would drop by about $500.

Mine is only catastrophic. I think the other is a waste, when you really look into how both work. Plus there seems to be an absence of sinkhole activity in my area. Having said that, I am sure you will see me on the news soon saying "I never thought it would have happened to me".
