I was actually curious if this is a Tampa thing or just certain neighborhoods, in Palma Ceia and Virginia Park there is a lot of kids, I mean a lot and half of the houses just have a bowl of candy unattended I get this because I do the same we are out trick or treating and no one is home, but every other block has a driveway full of adults drinking, and lot of adults walking around with their kids trick or treating and dragging a cooler drinking, beer, wine. I guess I have never noticed the drinking until maybe the last 3 years so is this a South Tampa thing or is Tampa wide. (the drinking)

Is it just me or were other neighborhoods really hoppin' and I was just at a slow paced neighborhood?
I don't know, but our neighborhood was like Disney World! Packed. I didn't know there were this many people living here LOL It also depends on how many small kids are around; if there are more teens, there may not be a lot going as it is a bit silly to do that as a teen...JMO

We had a record number of bell ringers. I didnt keep count, but it was a lot considering we usually only get 2 or 3. These kids had their parents or escorts at the end of the
walkway as they did their trick or treating. In one case a couple was right there with the kids at the door. We even had an adult woman show up, in costume.

LOL I think this may be a Tampa-wide thing. They do it in S. Hillsborough Co. too (Brandon/Riverview) which is where I usually take the kids. I did notice that this year, I didn't see anyone do that...weird but I figured it was because it fell on a Thurs.

I agree but they think free candy and do it. Last year we were almost trampled by several teens. I was a little mad about it but what can ya' do? Goodness! I am sure the kids had a good time with that much "traffic" going on. Ours was so dead, the people were like-"here, take more!" Haha. Crazy. Maybe the kids in that neighborhood are just getting too old to trick or treat.

Grand Hampton had tons of kids everywhere. My 3 year old had a great time. We still had candy left over, of course. Hopefully DH's co-workers eat them.
