I hope my questions do not offend anyone but my family and I are looking to move to the Tampa area so we can be closer to our kids while going to college. we have a 17, 9, and 5 yr old. We are an interacial family (black husband and I am white). We have had lots of problems being in different parts of the south with racism.

you OK in tampa... they dont like anyone- no just kidding- alot of military all mixed up and church folks who adopt kids from all over the world, so you never know who is with whom at the store...don't worry about it. Do we have racists YEP. Im sure they are everywhere,,,

Tampa doesn't have a lot of racism in the sense that you're describing. Generally these days no one cares if you're in a interracial relationship.

I have to agree with this. There are so many "new" lifestyles and relationships that interracial relationship I think have found themselves accepted in the general court of opinion.
Like anything, you will find those that dont like it but you will find that in all the corners of the globe.

Tampa is a MELTING POT of people. I would expect no issues. If possible, see if you can meet your neighbors (if you decide to buy) before signing the contract. There are idiots everywhere. But Tampa in general has been great from what I have seen to any mixed family situation. GOOD LUCK!
