I am looking to relocate to Florida. I am looking between Orlando and Tampa. What areas are good in between. I need good schools, low crime, near shopping areas and near major highways. Can anyone help pick some good towns?

The issue is that there really aren't any areas with consistently good schools between Tampa and Orlando. Lakeland has some good schools at varying grade levels (not high school) and in terms of their location well off the I-4 corridor in terms of convenience in commuting back and forth. You might check out the newer planned communities of Champions Gate or Reunion on the extreme west end of Orlando. It's out of the sphere of bad traffic when heading west to Tampa and by the time you would arrive if leaving at 8-8:30 most of the congestion in Tampa will have dissipated. On the return trip home traffic doesn't get bad until you hit the 417 split off of I-4 near the Epcot exit, which is beyond your exits. The schools are pretty good as well with the Davenport School of the Arts serving Pre-K through 8th and Celebration High School (grades 9-12). Both areas are quite safe and everyday shopping (grocery store) is available at Champions Gate Village or a regional shopping center is one exit away on I-4 at US 27 (Posner Commons).
