I don't like SR 60. Except for very early in the morning, you're always dealing with traffic. You'd have to check out a map and see if there are other roadways to take to avoid SR 60.

I lived in Brandon for about 6 years. I lived off Providence and 60, behind the Sams Club. Traffic was a nightmare, even back then. If I didn't leave my apartment before 9 am on a weekend during the holidays, I just didn't leave. Traffic was horrible near the mall. I worked at JBryons on 60 in the early 90's in high school. Roughly once a month, a group of "individuals" would run out the front door with armloads of clothes. I grew up in Seffner, I remember my mom had to drive to Brandon to shop, she went to USave.

It's funny, as a kid, my memory of Seffner and Brandon was it was a great place to live, nice and quiet. And it was, in the early to mid 70's and 80's. When I go back now, it's sad...nothing but strip malls and traffic..

Take lumsden/causeway instead of 60.

Depending where in the Brandon AREA you live, there are lots of major roads to take you north and south. Not many areas can say the same. East-West you have Hwy 60, MLK and Hwy 92 as well as lumsden, Bloomingdale and Boyette rd. Now going North-South you can choose Hwy 301, Interstate 75, Lakewood, Parsons, Valrico Rd and Miller Rd. Unlike most areas in the Tampa bay area, You are not stuck if the road your on has an accident or heavy traffic. You do have options.
Having spent the last 45 yrs driving in Hillsborough County, the Brandon area is not the area I dread having to drive through during primetime.
