Hi All,

Can I get some feedback on the area of Palm Harbor and Oldsmar? I am a medical assistant and my friend lives in Tarpon Springs and my Brother in New Port Richey. They tell me there are a lot of new medical practices in these areas. Would love feedback. Considering moving there and leaving New York. Thanks so much.

You've got a good sense of humor. Don't mind me, I was from NY once myself.

I bet there are a lot of my fellow New Yorkers down there. You guys and gals are so lucky to live in such a fun and happening place with lots of stuff to do. Here is NY on Long Island not so much. Was a great place to grow up in the 80s. Things have changed here a lot.

Well, since no one has answered your question, I'll give it a shot. I'm not that familiar with Palm Harbor or Oldsmar, but new medical practices opening up sounds about right. Since you're in healthcare, it shouldn't be too difficult to find a gig, just about anywhere in Florida, and especially where there are lots of retirees. However, it probably doesn't pay as much as in NY.

Florida was fantastic in the 80s, that's when I moved here. Suburban NY was a great place to grow up, back in the day.

Most of the jobs are in Tampa proper across the bridge, but in your field should not be a problem. The population in Pinellas is older. Probably a lot of medical offices.

Thanks Kmarc, I bet you don't miss all that snow in upstate NY. Gray skies and cold. Your so blessed to be living in Florida. Its a better quality of life for you there.
