76 day 72 night. Even with fans can't sleep well if it's much warmer than that

we aim to keep ours at 74. The house isnt very efficient (yet) but we just put in the new AC which does great so far.

Cant wait till we upgrade the windows and re-do the insulation in the attic!
I was thinking the same thing...they must be sweating all over their place.

We keep ours at 75 during the day if someone is home and 72-73 at night. If we are gone during the day, 77-78 at most.

We keep it at 79 or 80 daytime in living area...but all our living areas have ceiling fans, which makes a huge difference and also cheaper than setting a/c lower. If you don't have ceiling fans, you should consider installing.

I couldn't exist in a house in more than 74 degrees for long. The numbers you guys are giving are so high lol.

78 to 82 degrees with humidity between 45 to 55. We don't like anything lower than 78 degrees - way too cold. No wonder we left NY.

Agree!

BTW, we were in DC-Metro for the previous 10 days...we ran the heat almost every night. When we told friends of ours who live nearby, they thought we were nuts.

It's a matter of what you are used to, what you can tolerate.

I can tolerate heat, cannot abide cold. And it's gotten worse as I've aged (am 60 now).

I am surprised at the higher temps posted by some. Our thermostat stays on 73F in warmer months. In cooler months, it's set to 75F.

We keep our temps under 69F in CT. Most of the time it's closer to 64F :-)
