I just moved to St. Pete, and I just got my dream job up in Lutz. I love living in St. Pete and I don't want to move. However, every time I have told someone that I will be commuting to Lutz, they seem to think I'm crazy and that I will get caught up in the traffic on I-275.

or leave at 5 a.m. for work everyday - I think that's the predominate flow of traffic on 275 every morning

That's something to deal with if you are calculating lots of extra time and some times you will be way early while other times you will be stuck for a long time.

Do you have to be at work at 7am? Because that shouldn't be awful, I would think under an hour. You will be reverse commuting , in the morning the traffic is going south you will be going north your problem is going to be the bridge in the morning, if you are crossing the bridge in the morning before 745 you will be fine one you get to the veterans you will be clear until Lutz. I think is doable but it's a long commute it's 45 without traffic but even with that you should be under hour most days.

Give it a shot and see how you feel. You may be able to do it. Remember you will have toll to pay about 125 to 150 per month.
