I went there a couple of days ago and I couldn't believe how nasty the former spa and bathing area looks like. The area is filled with over grown seaweed everywhere. The large fish can't even swim into the area where the natural spring water is at.

The ducks swimming around seem to get stuck at points around all the seaweed and the over grown trees in the area. Why is Pinellas County Government neglecting Wall Springs in Palm Harbor Florida?

I moved here just long enough to get to see the observation tower before it got burned down. It's a shame really.
Would be nice if they can convert it to a spring you can swim in. I went to Litha Springs last month and it was really nice to just dip in 72 degrees crystal clear fresh water spring on a hot day.

The Pinellas County website says the tower is being replaced but no estimated completion date...

"Wall Springs Park
The Wall Springs Observation Tower that was destroyed by arson on September 11, 2013 is being replaced, and construction began October 2014. Due to the construction, picnic shelters 3, 4 and 5 will be closed, along with the entire west side of the park during the construction period. The small fishing pier located on Boggy Bayou will also be closed. We will keep you updated as things progress. Thank you for your patience. (picture 05-5-15)"

Then they should not make statements like that and when estimating give themselves more leeway! Common sense!

I hate it when people over promise & under deliver!
