I am sure it varies some, depending on where one lives or is around people.....as would be the case in any state. Certainly not all of Florida is a great place to live, nor is any entire state. But overall, you get back what you put out. That's "The Secret".

Now DRIVERS....I can assure everyone that drivers are by far better in the Raleigh area than in the Tampa area or anywhere in the northeast. I think that is partly due to much less traffic in the Raleigh area, even though they think they have a lot of traffic there.

I don't live in the city now, but I did at one time. I doubt much has changed over the past 2-3 years. And it's most of the state not just Tampa Bay

There is no "secret". You're in denial like many others. I have had absolutely no problems finding friends or like minded people in other places I've lived or visited. Florida attracts a lot of undesirables. Do you not see this?

Yes Florida does attract a lot of undesirables...but I will let you in on the real "secret"...if you play your cards right like me and NPG...you never see or have to deal with the scumbags of Florida society...successful people from other states are successful people in this state...if you were a loser somewhere else chances are you will not find your fortune here...

I made a few bucks in Florida.

I did play my cards right considering I didn't want to move to that s***hole to begin with. I think you have me mistaken for someone else, but otherwise I agree with you.

Riff raff can impact ones life no matter where one lives. Even gated communities aren't immune to this.

You didn't like Florida (according to your name).
You didn't want to move to there (see above post).
You now live in Wake County, NC.
Given all that, why do you spend so much time posting in the Florida section of City-Data Forums?

To a very small extent here in Florida compared to say NYC...Mass transit into Manhatten is the great equalizer of sorts...you are forced under close quarters on subways and buses to deal with types of people you never deal with here in Florida from the own safety of your car...We have the luxury to remain in our own safe comfortable bubble of sort...and I for one am a ok with it...
