Hi All

We may be coming in soon to take a look around town before deciding to move.

What central Hotels do you recommend?

Don't need five stars but don't want to stay in anything nasty as well.

Thinking Airport area may be best or possibly something near Westchase/Citrus park area.

I suggest the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay or the Westin on Rocky Point.

ADS I live in Hawaii nothing you can tell me would scare me about Tampa. Childs play compared to Hawaii when talking about cost of living other than Insurance and snakes.

That’s a great title for a book about Tampa! “Insurance and Snakes.”

Stay Downtown. Downtown is walkable plus the riverwalk is there. You can travel by car to other areas.

I agree with this. It will make for a much more enjoyable visit than if you stay in a more suburban area (Westchase.) From there, you can rent a car or Uber your way around to the places you're scouting out.

Also, my two cents: If you're considering being as far out as Westchase/Citrus Park, also worth checking out would be Oldsmar and East Lake.
