Are there more younger families living in Westchase? Is there an artsy vibe there?

Artsy vibe... More like two distinct vibes. Inside Westchase is the typical Florida generic middle-class suburbia, so called Master Planned Community. Driving into town (Town and Country). That would be a whole new Vibe.

Westchase is a very desirable area and most sub communities and communities have deed restrictions so there is not much owners can do outside of what is regulated by the HOA/CDD.

South Tampa has less restrictions and Channel side and South Tampa will probably closer to what the OP seems to ask for.

Whenever I drive into Westchase, I think of the mythical town of Stepford. But if you are raising a family, it might be a safe place. I don't think you'll find an artsy vibe there.

I grew up there and I love it. I go to the WOB and Irish pub over there and people are really cool and respectful. At Saturday nights you can find some younger folk there too. Its not really that bad.
