I will soon have a degree in both video production and graphic design. I plan on relocating soon after college. Which city has the best job market/industry for my fields: Tampa or Dallas?

FWIW
My brother in law spends his winters in Miami.
He is in film production.

I don't know anything about your career direction, but I do know that Tampa's job market is bursting at the seams! Good luck!

Default more likely Dallas

Lived in Dallas some years ago and just my gut reaction is that Dallas is much more dynamic than Tampa. It's major drawback is that it is landlocked and by now, experiencing congestion, etc.

You might look into Austin, Texas. It is considered a very creative city to live in and it might also have more opportunities. The people on the Austin forum are very helpful and could give you more information.

Default Stay away from Dallas

I've lived in the DFW area for the last 8 yrs and to say it is over populated would be an understatement. The job market is not at all like it was 8 yrs ago. With the colapse of dot.coms and telecommuication industry it is harder and harder to find a good paying job. Propery tax is high, crime one of the highest in the country and the weather is unbearable at times. I can not speak for FL, but I am hoping to relocate there in a few months.
