Very young 57 year old from Boston looking for a retirement home in a 55+ community. I am drawn to history, art, culture & nature. Any info would be appreciated!

I don't think this is 55+ but the area is where I'd consider if I weren't in my current area. STP downtown marina where there's a lot happening like the Dali, weekend markets, FL Orchestra, Museum of Art, North Shore Park, Marina, etc....only a short drive.

Isla Del Sol Yacht Club, St Petersburg, FL - Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club

The communities from here toward Ft DeSota would seem to be a good option - lots of condo type communities. Quieter area.

It's not a 55+ community (though it may as well be) but Isla del Sol is a beautiful, quiet, and safe place to live. It is a 15 minute drive to downtown St. Petersburg (lots to do there), 10 minutes to Fort De Soto park, and 5-10 minutes to beaches. Beautiful water views from many of the condos.

There are options on both sides of the bay, but I think close to downtown St. Pete might be the best fit based on what you mentioned!

Is there public transportation between Isla del Sol/Bayway Isles and St Pete's downtown area?

What about public transportation to DWTN St Pete from Old South East? Snell Isles? Shore Acres?

Thank you
