Have family wanting to use my Gulfport house later this month and they are asking about the Red Tide affecting Sarasota and points south.

How likely is this to move into Southern Pinellas within the next few weeks?

The governor has made orders to have it cleaned up in affected areas. The weather man stated the weather pattern is going to change where I think winds are going to go East. Dont quote me on this. But I am sure the governor who is running for senator is going to be hauling ass to do something so he can get elected. So hopefully it won't hit Pinellas. But hey your family can always change their plans to Disney or some natural springs inland. lol...

Well, since it hit Anna Maria this week, it probably won't long before it's up in Pinellas. This stuff moves around. I have read there are traces of it in Pinellas already.

I'd like to hear just how he plans to clean it up.
Tell the people what they want to hear and they'll forget about it.

Not sure if red tide is caused by humans throwing waste /garbage in the sea but plastic is killing sea life.

It is not taking straws away from people but preventing anything to be thrown on the ground, in the gutter and in the sea that doesn’t belong there. From chewing gum to any wrapper.

All the Signs about littering being punished is hardly ever enforced as I see daily, people throwing stuff out of their window, trucks having cups flown of the back of their trucks.

Just as the increase of not having valid insurance stickers on a license plate and people moving from out of state and driving for years with out of state license plates, not much seems to be done.

All of the bad behavior results in wild life and sea life to be destroyed.

And if you say something to someone throwing stuff out you have to be careful not to get a violent response so most people keep silent about that behavior.
